Good quality item at a bargin price, Im sure a slightly more expensive item like SuperSprint will release more pony's but not many more and at nearly twice the price is it worth it? I think not.

If your still running a standard exhaust system then this would be an ideal time to upgrade it as you will see a much better gain and could save money on fitting as you have only got to do it once.

Also if your happy to remove and refit your cat for MoT time then again your see a good gain from the loss of the cat.

Sure you can spend lots of money but if I had a Saxo it would be the raceland that I would buy.. (or maybe the super1600 manifold if I had a lapse of sensibility)

    hi, thanks for your help.

my vts is far from standard, i have throttle bodies, piper rally cams, forged pistons etc. I have a janspeed manifold on it at the mo but it is damaged due to hitting the floor so need to change it. The car is off the road at the mo while i am doing my mods, forged pistons, cams etc.

Would a raceland manifold still be good with these mods?

    thanks agen

with that spec i think ud be better off going for a gmc manifold as there sposed to have better gas flow than raceland manifolds

how hard are they to fit ?

Its just half a dozen bolts that hold the manifold to the head and two bolts that link the manifold to either the beging of the exhaust system or the Cat (depending on model and year).

Sounds simply? - Well . . . it is really, as long as the bolts are ok and havent rusted up but mine where ok, if you can change a exhaust section you can probally change a manifold.

Becarefull as the OE cast item is Very heavy and you dont want to drop it on you! Two pairs of hands and a set of either ramps or axel stands probally would be best :-)

If your running them kinda high performance mods then maybe the GMC 4-1 may pay off, they are better suited to mid to high rev range gains against the 4-2-1's low to mid range gains.

As far as Im aware only GMC and Piper make 4-1's GMC is slightly cheaper than the piper item, but if GMC are out of stock (they are only a small company) then you might have to get the piper - mine turned up in about a week (piper 4-1)

the raceland would be a direct replacement for the Janspeed 4-2-1.

If you change the exhaust profile to a 4-1 then you should really change the map to get the best out of it
