I bought one a while ago for mines (the newer type) from Eurocar parts, miles cheaper and it's essetianly the same thing. I think it was if I remember well about 40GBP or 50, somewhere there.

got a part number / website for that?

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ is the site just put your exact car details as the pack differs from Mk1 to Mk2 etc. I have mines for sale which turned out it wasn't my pack at fault so if you got the same car as me you can have it cheap and it was used once for 1 minute if that .

Ugh, you should have done it youself mate, i think its just a bolt off bolt on job.

Theres a mechanic in dalkeith iv used a few times, hes really cheap (cost me £40 to have both my inner cv boots replaced - although he bust an oil seal in the process which will soon have cost me my gearbox partly my fault for not spotting the leak for a month, i suppose. I've used him since without trouble though), my mum & her dad have been using him for yonks. I'll find you the address when i get home.
