Yea so how far can you go?
Its either 40mm or 60mm. The car park i use has nasty big speed bumps thou i am alrite getting ova and my mates st who is lowered 40 can still get over them. as well as a porshce etc lol!!
Will i have no tyres left if i lower in 60mm as i do alot of miles!

mines 60mm and ie never had any problems really, just need to take them easy.

as for your tyres why would lowering it increase wear?they still have to spin the same amount.

Depends on the bumps mate, when i was down 60 front 80 rear i couldnt go anywhere that had speed bumps or potholes in edinburgh.

Im down 40mm atm and rarely scrape anymore.

Thin strip speed bumps can still be a problem thoughbut i can get in and out of multistorey carparks again

I'd say 40mm is the lowest you really wanna go

alrite sound! i like the slammed look though but i dont think i will make it up my driveway so 40mm is probs best to be safe, mate lowered his pug 106 gti 80mm he grounds it everywhere lol soo funny!

Thats how mine looked at the begining of the year, lowered 40mm

EDIT: And this is one of how it was last year some time, 60 front 80 rear, those skirts caught everything at the rear, not to mention the centre silencer on the exhaust!

Not a VTR, but I'm down 50mm on a 1.1, only problem I've had was a nasty bump on a private road I had to go on during pizza delivery, my backbox scraped on it!

as long as you take bumps slowly you should be ok on 60mm

i'm down 40mm on vts wheels and mine touches speed humps all the time

must be tame speed humps in the north east lol

the only speed humps that really caused me any issues were those stupid red hump things where they is a space in the middle

Middle silencer used to catch on multi story car parks some speed bumps but that magnex was tough and shrugged it off

mines been lowered not quite sure by how much but the bottom of my front bumper catches on nearly every speed bump! i must admit tho i definetly prefer saxos lowered!!

Lowering increases the camber angle, on the front anyway as it doesnt move in a totally vertical direction. this means the tyre sits slightly wonky resulting in wear on the inner most section.

Multi stories are ok, but one in farnborough scratched the bottom lip on the front bumper quite bad on the way out, was ok going up though, i did hear the magnex clipping at the top of the ramps!
