vtr gearbox in vts

   as title states.... would this have lower performance than with the vts gearbox or not ? ? ?
   
   vts engine getting stuck in in a few weeks but gearbox doesnt come with it. got a vtr at the moment!

   ratios will be longer on a vts mate

   vtr final drive is longer than the vts so it will slow your car down in terms of acceleration but will cruise on the motorway at lower revs. vtr gearbox also takes the vts engine out of the powerband between gearchanges. it'll do as a temporary measure but try and get your hands on a vts/106 gti 'box, if not an s1 106 rallye or xsi 'box.

   ive got a vtr box on my vts and it runs so well
   ...thinking about getting a rallye box--would this improve accelleration? and would it lose top speed

   if you think it's quick with a vtr box on, it's quite a difference with a vts box on mate rallye box would give better acceleration but would scream a bit on motorways, not really worth it in my opinion but other's will tell you differently.
