Nice first post sir
Alot of this will come down to personal taste as there is quite a diffence between htese two blown options.
Turbocharging is more common placed these days as its a much simpler way of producing power from a engine by simply putting a compressor driven by turbo gases to suck more air in to make the car goe faster - but the compessor has to have a certain amount of pressure before power is available to use ie on boost.
Where as Supercharging is driven by the crank and there by as soon as the engine is turning power is on tap and doesnt suffer from turbo lag or being off boost, but sometime supercharges need a small amount of power to add mower as the crank has to turn the supercharger to create boost. Not so important on small engines but they reckon on the Mclaren SLR that the supercharger need 100bhp just to work!
A supercharger will never be able to creat the same amount of power as a turbocharger.
Because of the amount of heat a turbocharger generates turbo conversions can sometimes be slightly less reliable than a supercharger conversion as the supercharger is powered by the engine and not the exhaust gases.
Both kits give extra torque which is more important than BHP as extra torque will make the car pull harder and generally make the car more useable, if you just increased bhp then all you would do is sit there in a cloud of smoke while the driven tyres just spin.
As for companies - Carworx, Jam-Sport, Cituning and GMC all do turbochrager kits while just a few offer supercharger kits.
Personally Id rather go supercharged due to no turbo lag and no heat related problems.
For either turbocharger or supercharger kits your looking around the £4000 mark
