i'm still trying to understand how these lights work.it says it uses the light reflections from the boot but how can you get the light from the boot to shine through the tailgate/bumper to light the plate?

i think it means that there is a light behind the number plate out of sight, and that lights up the numberplate

There is a couple of bulbs that are under the number plate, but I haven't seen any with a UK plate on lit up. Not sure wot PC Plod would think of it, or the MOT tester!

Not sure how much light would come through the plate either. May need to go and ave a play some time now! Got me thinking
