    Well that is a 1.1's gaitor like i have in mine so i would think one of them but.... I had trouble not removing the gaitor but underneath the cover shall we say their is a lump of plastic which act as the knob if you get what i mean. Which is a pain to take off. So i dont think you could do it??

    its a straight swap mate pull your yellow knob and leather surround off and clip the rubber knob and surround in! easy peasy!

    is the gear knob standard 1.1?

    Hmm im looking for that gaiter but can't seem ti find it anywhere.
    I think it looks much nicer like that, any links on where I could find one would be appreciated!

    i dont think its that easy! i bought a momo shadow gearnob for my car, but the current one wont come off (one like in the second pic)

    or am i doing something wrong..

    once you get it off you can sell it to me, maybe you could change your gaiter too ? lol

    Aint as easy as that on the 1.1 because of the plastic bit underneth the gaitor cover. And yes that is standard in a 1.1 the gearstick (well my mk1 anyways)

    its all one thing though.. so it would HAVE to get rid of the gaitor. lol. and, ive not got a 1.1, mine is a 1.5

    with the knob in the 2nd pic you have to cut it off cause its moulded onto the metal gear stick so i dont think it can be done.

    Tbh I think the way you have it now looks kool.
    I like the gaiter because its like circly if you know what i mean lol.

    My friends 04 plate fiesta has that gaiter looks the bits!
