  6. #6
Sorry - I always thought they were called that
  7. #7
i dont think iv ever seen 1 for a saxo to be honest
  8. #8
they are caled quick racks but i havenot seen one for a saxo, on other cars they come as a replacement rack or as a new pinion gear for the rack
  9. #9
    why do you want one?
  10. #10
means you only have to turn the steering wheel say 1.5 turns till its on full lock rather then say 2.5 turns, rallys cars have it as they have to be able to turn the steering quite far without haveing to rotate the steering wheel so many revolutions

Id like one mainly because i want to get involved on a few track days etc, although you dont exactly need one they are dirt cheap for what they give back....

not also saxos use power steering and a few of the track saxo lads on ssc have converted to non power steering to save weight by removing the pass pump unit

Ran a 106 for 2 years in the BTRDA championship, and decided to fit one in the Saxo as building from a bare shell.
Found that it is a lot easier to 'catch' when it decides to do something silly, also easier on the wrists after a day of getting shook about!

Wasn't too worried about the weight of the pump, as the car was completely stripped anyway.

Car has been up on sill stands for the last 3 weeks and is still filthy after the Wyedean Rally.
May have chance to clean it some time this week ready for a show we are doing in a months time
