so is this a new boot lid basically?
  4. #4
No it's a skin that you have to smooth onto your boot. Not great quality though from what i've heard but cheaper than getting a bodyshop to custom blend a pair of proper morrettes into your boot.

hmm, not sure then if its just a skin, if someone had a full bonnet refurbed to this then i would jump at the chance! looks very very nice tho!

    cheers for the help Certifiable

Couldnt see on there if they would pass an MOT though

Hmmm Becarefull, Your need to remove the unit to change a lite bulb.

Maynot look as good but just quads (non-smoothed) would be more sensable.

How gutted would you be if a bulb blew and you had to crack the filler to get it out, also if they are smoothed over with filler then you mite get cracks if your running low profile tyres and stiff suspension

the lights are still in the same place and th boot closes on top of them so you would have no problems replacing bulbs..

if its part of the boot do you not think they would make the lights accessible from behind?
  10. #10
Yeah its a piece of piss to change the bulbs, the triple xtreme stuff will crack if you keep slamming the boot down

    Edit:
I bought the lights from a place called Quad Conversions but the quality was total shit so thats why i got them blended in by a bodyshop

how much did you pay for your beldning in saxoladlesta? as i want it done, but onyl if it would pass an M.O.T, as long as the lights were accessible, thats all that matters, and obvisouly so it dont fall away, im gettign lowered by 40mm with 16" hopefully soon!
  13. #13
lights were 270 the blending was done when i got my boot smoothed and i think it came to 650 [not including lights price]will prolly be cheaper now cs i had it done last year.also mot is fine just need some mini reflectors to stick on during the M.O.T.
wiring also has to be done properly, they aint just plugs its all wires etc :-)

as dumb as it maysound. does your boot open?

Nop, wrong - Im not talking about the bit you bond over the top of the hatch

Iwas talking about what was first mentioned - Blending the rear units into the rear quater panels to give a totally smoothed look, Loads of more heavly modifed cars like the ones that used to and still pop up in Max and Fast car have the units blended into the wings there by if a bulb goes your . . . well, buggered

The other item that you mentioned was added my someone else and looks pony - but each to their own

They look like a bolt on.

I like them like that but when i bought mine the quality of them was shit so had no choice but to blend them in
  19. #19
I thought the boot had to open in order to pass MOT? How does it open lol
  20. #20
I've got a popper near my handbrake to open it
  21. #21
Lot of money but looks very nice.

Any chance of a picture of the boot open so I/we cansee what blends into what bit unclear as to where the join is.
