Bodykit or not?

  1. #1
Do you think the saxo looks better with a body kit or are you better off keeping it the way it is??
  2. #2
Noooooo!! As you have a 1.1 the only kit i would put on is the VT* kit..

Probs just leave it though, slam it on its ass, they still look nice slammed.

body will make your car stand out and be different.

Just dont go for something silly.

The only bodykit that is acceptable on a saxo is the dimma one imo.
I'd have the standard vt* kit anyday.

Spot on... dimma's are the nicest saxo kits by a long way... but i think subtle mods are the way forward

dimma kit is a pain to fit.

and it totals into the thousands to get it done properly with a respray.
you have to re-locate your petrol car and everything.

no its not, its the same as any other kit if not better because it uses the original bumpers so that it fits properly.

what ever kit you fit you are going to have to get it sprayed and you dont have to re-locate the petrol cap.

I think your talking about the 106 dimma kit. . . . not the saxo dimma kit. . . .

I would say not. However I quite fancy an F2 bumper to go on my VTR cos its nice and subtle.

Obviously though its all down to personal preference and tastes.

whack a VT kit on it if it hasnt already,
cheap way to make a basemodel look lish
  17. #17
i've never been tempted to put a vt* kit on. its never appealed to me. if i'm going to change the look of it, i'm going to change the look - i'm not going to make it look like something it isn't.
    if that makes sense?!

the cliche kit is nice. i really like the front bumper as its not over the top or anything and has some nice lines.
although i'm not keen on the back. i think that lets it down a little.

end of the day, its your call. if you find a kit that you like the look of, go for it.
in my opinion though, flat arched models don't need kits to look nice. in many cases they look too much.
keep it smooth and simple is what i say!

Im gonna say kit it, otherwise every saxos gonna end up with a magnex, lowered 40mm on VTS rims, de badged and colour coded. If you want to do it, go for it be different

standard or dimma for me too

Bodykits are a big no no from me apart from a dimma.

Agreed. The base models are a pain initially but there are some fine examples on here... especially the 5 doored ones.
