Headlight Neons

  1. #1
I've bought some headlight neons. The guy I bought them off fitted his by removing the sidelight bulbs out of the headlights and dropping them into the hole where they sat. This means the neons will come on when I put my sidelights on. I want to know if it would be poss to keep my normal sidelights but have the neons on a switch.
    Can anyone help?

Do u know if it's legal to change the colour of your sidelights then - the neons are blue.

Mate, i have blue led side lights had them for months, technically no there are no legal but if you see the fuzz just stick your headlights on until they pass, and you'll be cool

The led's are as bright as neons - they look good.

    Cheers

it would be possible but a hell of a lot of hard work and to do it you would really need another hole in the headlight for the neon to sit, i.e. try drilling a hole in the head light = a new head light needed

I got fined £30 for having the blue sidelights in mine, he said he could've put points on my licsence as well.

Jesus, if you've seen my photos i've kinda gone over the top with the leds and everything!!! still gonna keep em in though and do what houstie says.

Scott was right, drilling a whole is the only way and then tapping in to the power cables of the sidelights. new bulbholders and stuff then too, Bit of a job but possible.

my bro works in a bodyshop and he can hook me up with some merc E-classe (or whatever) neon-conversion kits (the complete thing). Now find a way to build it into the saxo headlight housing......
