Can anyone recommend anywhere in the Ayr / Kilmarnock / Irvine area that would lower my saxo? So far I've tried DPMotorsport, who quoted £130 to fit the kit, but they lower the torsion bar by splines, so not going near them. Tried Autotec in Ayr too, who said the torsion bar will take 10 hours to do at £39 an hour, then the front would be extra... so no, not paying £390 to have the torsion bar adjusted! AVA in Glasgow has been recommended to me, but would prefer somewhere closer if possible.

#8Yep I know Bickets, is it near there then?
Fife and Newton Stewart are a bit too far, if I can't get anywhere in this area then I'll go to ava in glasgow. Thanks though! -
#9well if you come up from the fire station take the 1st left off the round about or if you come from bickets end then take the last exit off the roundabout.theres a big grass park on your right hand side just drive past it then take the 1st left.the garage is down there.if you do go there just ask for davie.

#10I'll give it a shot, thanks!

#11Does anyone know if AVA definitely lower it properly or is it splines?
-
#12Hey guys, just to let you know that I called AVA to ask how much they charge and they told me they don't touch saxo's due to the problems they can have with the torsion bar
Still got the place in killie to try but if that doesn't work out don't have a clue where I'll go! Don't fancy trecking up to fife or to GMC but might not have an option!

#13Went to the garage in killie yesterday, it's called New Tech. Quoted me £120 which is good and said they lower the torsion bar to mach the rear, said they bring the bars out to lower it. I take it that means they lower it the proper way rather than by splines?
