  2. #2
    no mate tcut them

it takes the silver/chrome bit off leaving them all black
  3. #3
Aye, bit of t-cut n elbow grease n they come up black n shiny with no scratch marks.
  4. #4
    Does that seriously work lol!?
  5. #5

i seen someone with chrome citroen and Saxo badges, how the hell they do that?
  7. #7
When i did mine i just sanded them down with 1200 grit wet dry, plastic primer, sprayed them black, then laquered them...

Never tried the T-cut technique... but im happy with the finish i got

Does look good but mine are shinier than that

T-Cut works really, I think thats the best way to do it. It gives a good finish too, but if you wanna spray them, I would recommend using T-Cut first and check out the results
  11. #11
think furioal didnt laquer them much, just dusted it on, as he wanted a matt effect
  12. #12
Says he did in his post pred
  13. #13
yeah just edited my post, he must of dusted the laquer on to give that effect
  14. #14
Oh cheers edit it and make me look gay
  15. #15
Yup i didnt want them shiney... i wanted them to match the bump strips...
  16. #16
Ah fair enough. I might get my bump strips painted black in the future anyway. Anyway ill stop the hijacking now
  17. #17
hehehe ben, yeah totally hijacked this thread like lol
  18. #18
I just 1200 wet and dry papered mine!

    Look good aswell...

when you say t-cut it, do you mean just get some t-cut and rub the silver off so your left with just the black? does the colour of t-cut matter?
also what does 1200 wet and dry mean? lol sorry if i sound like a pure beginner
  20. #20
1200 is the grade of paper...wet and dry is a type of paper...

Can get it from any hardware store...
  21. #21
Yeah, just the standard t-cut in a red bottle, rub the badges with a cloth and mind the car paintwork.

1200 wet and dry is sandpaper mate, 1200 is the grit level its a very fine sandpaper, wet and dry is the type of paper.
  22. #22
thanks mate..big help, so il give ya some rep lol

Lol waaaaay to much effort. Couldnt be bothered to glue em back on again, or snap em with my clumsy fingers. A good jet wash gets rid of the crap anyway

    N cheers for the rep

best way to get badges off is wash your car then dry it by that time the sticky stuff holding the badges will be untacky and come off with a credit card, the crud behind it is unbelievable like lol

You need ordinary T-Cut non- colour version, OR a tube of car scratch remover, it takes a while but comes up really nice
  27. #27
Please note the badges can be an arse to stick back on, hence the easier way of using t-cut or scratch remover
  28. #28
you sporting black badges at last saunders to go with your black theme?
  29. #29
they aint hard to get back on, double sided foam tape and some blue tak on the locating pegs inside the bootlid to keep it in place until the glue sets, simple as that

    Indeed I am

Predator_VTR - Its just easier to use T-Cut as it comes out prefectly fine without the hassle of waiting for layers of paint to dry
