Do you have a 98bhp vtr?

Having owned a 98bhp & 90bhp I can confirm the 90bhp idles far better, had similiar problems to you but fitting a BMC & getting the throttle body cleaned (by hand not carb cleaner) seemed to cure the stallin & idle got better, what you experiencing is common but it should not be stalling.

    Hope that helps.

I put my car on ebay coz i wanted to get rid and it got wrote off that day.... just a few days after the £400 MOT....

the cars down on insurance as being worth 400

Although i know how you feel for the breaking down, it makes you go mental. I cant stand it, i had to walk from leeds to wakefield once thanks to my astra...

Perceiver with it babe, it'll be worth the effort trust me

Get someone to strip & clean the throttle body, maybe even price up a stepper motor if it hasnt already been replaced as this WILL have a bearing on erratic idle & stalling.

Just got back from a long drive in mine and it was brillent on the motorway, showed up some more expensive car as well namely a prick in a Jag thinking he could overtake me on a slip road, fekin idiot.
