VTS Engine Modifications

    Just purchased a nice shiny VTS.

    I know they are pretty nippy already, but am wondering what sort of engine mods i can do to boost it a bit, nothing that will burn a hole in my pocket for insurance tho. Also i noticed there is room for another fan, not that i want to add another, but jsut wondered why it was there and left empty!

    Engine mods, maybe:-

    Remapping?
    Uprated Cams?
    Air Intake (but which one, i was looking at the Pipercross Viper??)
    Porting and Polishing?

    And any sort of rough price guide to accompany the info would be highly appreciated!

    Twin fans were on the foreign saxo's. to aid cooling in the hotter countries

    No point in remapping untill you have some modds lol

    Exhaust
    decat
    enclosed induction kit

    are what most do first.

    Don't really want to decat it, as i will only have to fit one for the MOT in july.

    Not bothered about too much power gain, but decatting is a no-no for me.

    The exhaust i want custom made, not a shop bought one as i cant find any back boxes with a big enough pipe. looking for about 4.5" to 5".

    As for induction kit i was eyeing up the Pipercross Viper, but dont know what other ones are any good

    Have a search on here mate been asked alot before!

    If you camm it you will need a remap in order for it to pass mot! Cams and map your looking at £900.

    Decat is a good modd, very easy to change over aswell.
