Anyone used one, doubt notice much difference between panel filters, but think these will be better than the bmc, green, k&n filters?

think the difference between panel filters will be hard to tell.

i was going to get that one before i picked up my K&N panel filter. But that OMP one looks very similar to K&N.

good thing is there is a discount on those at the moment.

I'd just stump up and go for an enclosed, any reason why you dont want to do that mate?

been reading too much on people saying made no difference from standard etc, i made a thread on it a few days ago to find the answer

ok reading your list of To Do mods, you prob wouldnt see the gains.

The idea behind the enclosed is to free up the air flow for a more powerful engine I believe.

I think with just the panel filter it will be hard to notice 1) a difference from the OE panel filter and 2) a difference between the OMP and the other leading branded panel filters ie K&N, Green, BMC and Pipercross.

There is alot to be said fro sticking with the OE airbox setup, totally shielded from engine bay heat and a fairly good supply of cold air.

Will get one and test it when i have some funds, there is a thread in general chat where a chap has fitted one and said deffinately noticed the difference!

enclosed induction kits are good but you need to ensure they have a decent air supply.

some butchering of the slam panel is needed to add more air flow, a few well places holes usually does it.

as in standard form the enclosed kit only has the option of sucking air from the smallest of gaps above the radiator

ive been looking at them, already have a 4-2-1 decat exhaust, will I see any gain by adding a panel filter?

it will be minimal at best. The benifit of full induction kits are they get rid of any restriction on the induction side.

A performance panel filter will flow better than the standard on for sure. Just don't expect 10bhp gains

what he said, got to be better than standard, doubt there will be a difference between brands of panel filter, i.e green and omp. I would just go for best build and rep to be honest so thats either a green or bmc or omp for me!

All in good time when al be getting mine.

i fitted one on the weekend.

    cant tell any noticable difference.

however my K&N does look much less restrictive when compared to the OE filter
