if you want to use more petrol while gaining absolutely nothing in terms of performance then turn it until you think your car is faster. if not then listen to Paul, fse valves do buger all except when used correctly on cammed applications and are set up on a rolling road not by some guy on his drive.

my vts is cammed.nd it felt like it had flat spots 2day at crail.so i was just wonderind if turnind the valve up would over cum this.

what modifications have you had done to your ecu?
  11. #11
non at the moment.im gona book it in to dasteck in the next couple of weeks to see what they can do.
  12. #12
dastek will do nothing with a cam as they cant raise the limiter which you'll need if it's cammed. no point at all fitting and messing about with an uprated fpr until you get the ecu remapped.
  13. #13
just turn it off mate, they sh*gg your engine up
  14. #14
who will raise the limiter then?
  15. #15
    go standalone ecu dude
  16. #16
how do i go about gettin that mate?
  17. #17
standalone is certainly the best option but it depends on how far you want to take your car. if camming is your limit ie you don't intend going down the turbo/supercharger route then remapping the standard ecu will suffice. contact Wayne at Chipwizards, either £450ish and you take the car to him and he sets it up on a rolling road, or I believe you can send the ecu to him with a list of modifications and he can upload a map onto it from a car with similar mods (not ideal but cheaper).
Contact AVA in Glasgow about omex management if you want to go standalone.

cheers mate think ill give them a fone and see what they can do.

a flat spot is coz its not mapped, stand alone will sort it. Good luck!
