What Shocks?

  1. #1
Mate has a Saxo VTS, and it is lowered atm to 60 mm on the rear, and he is going to get it raised back to 40 mm on the Splines, wanted to fit some new shocks on there to firm the ride up, suggestions please

looked at these and dont know the difference?

    fronts and rears?

Sorry it is the Rear that is being lifted back up

sorry meant the pics that you posted, one front, one rear shock by any chance

The web links are of rears, I dont know the difference between the 2, except the diff part numbers and price, just wondered if anyone knew,

And peoples views on any other makes that would do the job, prefer gas and adjustable

any reason why adjustable. are you planning track days, fast roading or..? how much you wanna spend?

Adjustable to experiement and get the right hardness, no track days, well Sure it will go fast on the road some times, suppose £65-00 per shock is about it, just want to harden the ride back up once it has been raised, as atm it sorta sits pretty close to the bump stops

youll be best of getting a full kit with springs then, something like koni sports, they sit down 35mm. also you dont want to raise torsion bar on splines either, you can set it to the exactly the hieght you want if done correctly

sorry, it has all ready been lowered on the Splines, and want it raised back up, just going to take it up to 40 mm

Lowering by splines can cause damage to the rear axel and things, I'm not sure whether you can get it set back to standard and then lowered the correct way, someone else will probably be able to tell you.
