Rear Badges

  1. #1
Now then. Should i spray my rear badges in black?
  2. #2
yeah definatly, sets it off nicely, especially with your dark lights
  3. #3
    just t-cut the silver off.

or if you are changing them. go and buy some spare ones to spray up. will make refitiing easier
  4. #4
any ideas on what would be best to stick them back on with?
  5. #5
thats why i suggested getting a spare set to spray, then the adhesive will still be on them
  6. #6
ahh true. Only prob is the citroen place is miles from my house, just thinking about rubbing these down and spraying them. I used silicone sealent to stick some previous badges on, but was a nightmare to remove!
  7. #7
If you want em black theres no point in painting em, as said just rub t-cut into them and they will go black
  8. #8
just strong double sided tape mate will hold em on lol. ive done that for my number plates, no probs. Make sure the areas proper cleaned and dry before sticking them back on
  9. #9
i just got the t cut out, and done the saxo one, took a while, but was well worth it, looks awesome! Gona do the citroen one later on, too cold at the mo!
  10. #10
Leave them on the car and t-cut them. Thats what i did.

Not the best picture but they do look class!
  42. #42
Gonna T-Cut my badges tomorrow, i also want the silver chevrons on my grill black to start my black and yellow theme.
  43. #43
yeah just plain old t-cut will do the trick. easy mod 2 do.im thinkin of removin my b pillar protectors but i saw them taken off a posi blue saxo and they looked crap.any opinions?
  44. #44
started doing mine, they are now grey at the moment. Lot of elbow crease needed, i dont have original t-cut so using the black polish version
  45. #45
Haven't got around to doing mine, probably be tomorrow now.
Bought a tube of T-cut from tesco's, just the white stuff so hopefully it will get it done 2moz.
  46. #46
OK just popped out to do the S on my saxo badge (to see how easy the paint comes off) and ended up doing the whole lot, took about 25 mins, finger is aching now from all the rubbing but the badges look sweet.
    Good finish on them too.
  47. #47

i havent tried using tie wraps! When i put it on first it sat nicely, now it has moved right over to the left, and it sits quite far back too. I will have to get serious with some tie wraps i think!!
  49. #49
i like the look mate, fair pa. When you say you used T cut, what type of t cut do you mean, and how long did it take? think my saxo will have to get the same treatment. And how did you get your rear lights like that, i like.
  50. #50
Looks excellent, my mate recently debadged his black Saxo... he fillered the holes etc but you can still notice them... might suggest this to him.
  51. #51

Well here's a pic of mine, took me about 25mins but didn't rush it.

Just get the normal T-cut, not coloured. Rubbed it on with a dish cloth and scrubbed like f#ck.

looks a million times better and the finish is great, just gotta get some early mk1 lights and the back ends finished.
  52. #52
    Very nice....
