Hello and Alloys

    Hi all, obviously i'm new here but have been sneaking round getting loads of tips so thank you all for that first off. Managed to colour code my dash at the weekend so although nothing special, i felt good after it, so thank you. Next job is to get rid of my horrible wheels and put some nice alloys on...

    First off, does anyone know the size of standard MK1 wheels (1.1i) and if I were to put 15inch on them, what would happen to the speedo etc and would it pass an MOT? if it wouldn't how much is it to put it right?

    Thanks all in advance and i'm sure i will see you all at meets when my car is a little bit more respectible! lol.

    your standard wheels atm will be 13". you will get some rubbing with 15" wheels on but with abit of arch work that can be sorted so there is no rubbing.

    what sort of wheels you thinking about mate. saxo speeds are out a bit all ready so it want be much more

    i've seen some on the bay so probably gonna try to get those. i'm a student atm so absolutely fuck all money... if i suddenly get rich i can always get a nicer pair! lol. how much (roughly) you looking at for arch work and could anyone point me in the right direction?
