Can you format your post so its easy to read in future lol

it could be something to do with fueling? have you been hit by the dodgy fuel? Id get it checked out as it could be a million things.

    and breath....

your text talk is quite hard to read
  4. #4
if it was your immobiliser you would not be able to start the car seems like it could be a fueling problem. or you may have a vacuum leak at the throttel body or inlet manifold.

ive had loads changed on it,see 'poop vtr' on forum a few days ago, lucas uk had it 4 couple of days n course it didnt happen while they had it.mot nxt week, more cash out my pocket.dont wana, but think it has 2 go :-( x
  6. #6
so what have you changed on it
  7. #7
    battery,coil pack,spark plugs,fuel filter,fuel pump,fuel pump relay,tdc sensor,cleaned throttle body,been read by diagnostics...u name it,its been done.im really sad about it,shes beautiful car but dont work.what dya reckon?x
  8. #8
have you had the injectors checked, is the delivery pressure of the fuel all ok.
car is in limp home mode but that should of been picked up on the diagnostic read.
have all the parts been renewed or have they just be cleaned

theyre all new luv, only throttle body cleaned.lucas say maybe its my transponder in the key.shes goin back 2 them 4 mot, sumin on diag came up as o2 failure but he said that wouldnt make it stall..havent had injectors checked n the bloke at lucas worked at citroen for 10 yrs so he knows saxos well.its weird.it works 4 a week then decides it wants 2 stop 4 10 minutes.whats a girl 2 do??x
  10. #10
regardless how long someone worked for citreon ... saxos have there own mind

sounds like you have a fueling problem and with not checking the injectors but everything else, this may be it

i had the same problem but not as often after i fitted the straight through pipe ... but thats a differant problem and now sorted

put some injector cleaner in the tank
  11. #11
ok ill try that,is that that red ex stuff?i really have no clue;-] only been learnin off 'pops' since it started happenin.he knows everythin...i knowa nothina!x
  12. #12
lamba sensor maybe. but some garages just like to rip you off
  13. #13
well that was a thought coz of all the poor bastards whose cars got wrecked by shite petrol, thats havin sumin done 2 it nxt week but it wouldnt go at all if i had put dodgy petrol in.all you guys at mo,thanx 4 texin x
  14. #14
it was only in a one part of the south of england that they had bad petrol so dont think you would have that problem
  15. #15
redex is the stuff aye put it in on a empty tank and then fill up

try putting some high octaine fuel in like shell v-power or bp ultimate just to give it a run on a better fuel see if that helps
  16. #16
whats a straight through pipe.i dont kow this lingo!!!is that sumin 2 do with modifyin?coz it already goes some!i already spent soooo much...x
  17. #17
it means you have had the cat taken out the exhaust.
  18. #18
okey dokey red ex nxt, high octane petrol?its hard enough gettin let alone good shit!!my bruv would only fill his pulsar at 1 place on the island x
  19. #19
aah,its my bruvs old car n he had no cat on while he had it,then put it back on when i took it on.dya think it mite b sumin 2 do with that?would they look at that in mot?x

Now I may be well of base here but a couple of years ago I have a car that would start from cold then cut out about 4 mins later, but then would restart ok, drove me nuts trying to find the fault, then an AA bloke fixed it, it was the fuel supply pipe inthe engine bay was too close to the exhaust pipe, and it would warm slightley and cause a vapour lock and starve the enging of fuel, He just moved the pipe and all was ok. Now this prob wont apply to the saxo engine but youn ever know?
