the money you will spend on a conversion, your better off buying a proper VTS

but you can get engines complete with gearbox, loom and ecu etc on ebay

engine loom and box your prob lookin at 600-700 then getting it fitted if you cant do it yourself, i considered it when i had the vtr, coudnt be assed with the hassle so bought a vts.. ive heard someone say before, never build something you can buy...

why buy a vtr with low miles if your gona rip it out and put in a vts engine? surely u want a low miles vts engine or just buy the vts in the first place

im going to be fitting a Rallye or a GTi engine into my pug.

purely because i want to do an engine conversion.

Ive done body work. Ive done electrics.

I now wanna have a play with the mechanical side of things.

But buying a VTR to just put a VTS in it. Whats the point?

    As above really.

If you were to sell your vtr and buy a vts you wouldnt be looking at much of a price difference.

If its down to insurance.....then your gonna have to wait.

plus an engine conversion increases your insurance

Simply not declaring it means you are UNINSURED!
