Fitting a head

Whats required when fitting a head?

    What else needs replacing?

I want a ported polished head, and i was quoted by cit tuning £700 for the head on exchange basis and fitting but that sounds a bit pricey to me.

gasket set and head bolts i think thats all you need replacing but the have to strip half the engine down to get to it all.

£700 is a rippoff, sure QEP quoted me £400..

Are you pricing this up or are you about to order, reason I ask is I am also contemplating getting a higher flowing head as well, maybe we can get a deal for two

    need to replace
    haskets (head, exhaust, rocker cover)
    bolts
    belt
    tensioner (if you want)
    oil
    water

think thats about it off the top of my head

    Sigh, you must be loaded

I'd do a bit of shopping around matey and look at alternative ways of doing this, doing it as a job lot will always work out more expensive.
