The other day I had my wheel cylinder replaced. The mechanic filled up my brake fluid again but today I looked under the bonnet to find a small amount of brake fluid around the resevoir. Has any1 else had this prob? could it be that maybe there was slightly too much fluid in there and its leaked out as a result? any ideas? cheers all

#2there should be a max level on it any good mechanic will know not to fill past that mark or it may just that he has just spilled a bit dfilling it up just keep a eye on the level

#3i had my back cylinders replaced then the brakes bleed and filled up again, should have just filled near the max, wipe away the spill?
I had no probelms with mine -
#4yeah no i watched him do it. he filled it to just under the max line. the cap was wet and also ontop of the resevoir was damp too. was just bit concerned as obviously brakes are quite important lol

#5yeah tru
he should have gave the top a wipe, has seal gone on lid or something like that? -
#6i dont know actually. do they go? How much are new ones roughly?

#7not sure
proberly pick one up down scrappy
just give it a good clean -
#8i think before you do anything you should clean up the area so you can double check that this is just not spillage from when it was filled. Also you should check the fluid level to see if thee is any difference. Then drive about if your brakes feel safe and see if the mess reappears
