i have access to a very low 1.4 rear axle with drum brakes and want to know if it is possible to put my VTR rear disc set up strtaight onto it????

I would doubt it mate, as people who want rear disks on lower models cant just put disk setups on they have to get the full rear beam.

gutted, do you know if 1.4 front suspension will be good enough for a VTR

If its off a furio/westy then im 99% sure the front is exactly the same as a VT model, only thing dif is the engine weight but the setups the same

Hmm, slammed then lol. Im sure one of the performance folk will give a definitive answer, but id say its a fit as the suspension kts are usually sold in groups for 1.0 +1.1, 1.4 + 1.6 8v, and then the 1.6 16v

For drums to disks you need to change the whole rear axle, can pick one up for about £150 give or take a little depending on milage etc.
For the Westie one if its in good condition im sure you'll make a bit back off it
