Help with lowering!

  1. #1
Hi, i need advice with lowering my car. i've got a 1999 westcoast.

i've done quite a lot of work to it but it mega needs lowering to help complete its look!

i've got some 16inch fox evo 3's, i was thinking of dropping it 40mil.

speaking to mates, they think this can be done with just springs and save money not changing the shocks? is this a dumb idea?

i live in loughborough near leicester, does anyone know of a place round here thats good at lowering?

cheers, any help/advice will be well appreaciated!

    joe.

40mm can be done without buying shocks, but as a personal preference id wait and get the shocks aswel as the car could be a bit "bouncey" with standard shocks and they may not last too long.

send a PM to JPsaxo - him and his dad do lowering etc in their spare time, hes a bit busy for a few weeks as he's fitting a new engine into his car, but i believe he generally quotes about £75 to do Torsion bar lowering. He lives not too far from you by Market Bosworth

In a Garage they'll charge anything from £80-£200ish for lowering and they may not do it the correct way- JPsaxo will do it the proper way for you.

    See what he says

Says above in Willsys post mate, near Market Bosworth, leicestershire.

Can fit the front springs for you as well but would prefer to just do rear torsion bar

PM me on here or ssc (same user name) to arrange dates etc.
