vts/vtr block

   i am just wondering if there is any difference between the 16v engine block and the 8v block?

   yes alot.
   
   no you cant use a mix of one and the other. eg 16v bottom end 8v head.

   oh yeah i know i just wondered if they were the same as both 1600cc engines. but obvoiusly not. cheers for clearing that up mate
