tunable? do you see much gains from say an enclosed air filter or induction kit and say maybe a cat back exhaust system or would you have to go de-cat or even new manifold?
are furios ...

#2They are tuneable but I can't see you geting a huge increase from the above mods. You'd probably be better saving a bit more and either buying a VT* or dropping a VT* engine into the Furio.
-
#3yh any engine is turnable mate but if u want a big increase ur pocket has to be increased to
-
#4de cat and new system with good induction will probs give u like 10bhp more if less
-
#5any engine is tuneable
you wont see much gain thats all
for the money you could spend id look at bigger engines vtr/vts -
#8ok then, what about going for sound then, whats the best set up to make my saxo sound sweet lol
-
#9good exhaust, induction kits just sound tacky
-
#10Like mentioned above any engine wshould respond to better breathering mods ie AirFilters and Exhaust.
Just because there are more powerfull models out there in the range it doesnt mean you shouldnt buy anything for it.
A Enclosed induction kit (non branded) can be picked up for under £100 from places from eBay and exhausts cat back, decat etc can also be picked up on a budget. Youd see a increase of possibly 8bhp-15bhp by combining the mods already mentioned, and would probally also increase the amount of enjoyment youd get out of the car also
-
#11Besides, you could say why do people waste time on R's when you could have S's
Insurance is the main reason, budget may also be an issue, just because its only a 1.4 dosent mean it shouldnt be enjoyed and improved by a few mods
-
#12i own a furio.
Gained 11.45 break from standard by putting a open filter and exhaust system on.
so you can tune them

#13My 1360 TU now chucks out 147 BHP, but not after spending a shed load of cash on it.. Anythings possible with time and cash.
