Time to Lower

I think it is time to lower my saxo, I am thinking of droping it by around 30 to 35mm (I want to retain some comfort). As i am a poor student funds are limited so i am looking at only changing the springs. Has anyone done the same? If so would be greatfull to hear your experience and see some pictures if possible to see if it really does make a difference to the look of the car. Thanx, and rep will be rewarded!

The front suspension is lowered by springs but the rear is done with a torsion bar.

There are some guides online for the torsion bar so you should definately read up on it before undertaking the task. Will also help if you have someone who is mechanically experienced to help.

As above... for the height that your looking to lower it by springs is fine its recommended that anything over 40mm the shocks should be upgraded aswel. As a personal preference id sitll go down this route rather than just springs but thats just me.

Rear is done by Torsion bar (theres 2) in theory its easy enough to do this if you fancied trying yourself, but it can be a pain to do if you find out that the bars are seized into place
