    is it a 1.6l? i got told by a parts specialist its a 1.6 but iv allways thought they are a 1.4? if so do they have the 90bhp silvertop vtr engine in them?

    Nah, it's defo 1.4! 75 BHP standard.

    strange! it was a ciroen & peugeot parts specialist that said it was a 1.6 i questioned him but he said "look who's the specialist"

    Haha. I phone up Pug dealership a few weeks ago. I couldn't remember how much oil my gearbox took, so I thought they could help. They told me 4 litres, so which I replied, "Are you sure, that's quite a lot." To which they replied, "We're the experts, it's definately 4 litres!"

    I'm glad I didn't listen to them, as it was 2 litres like my gut instinct told me. What idots.

    lol, defo 1.4, same engine as the westcoasts and furio's.. Remember alot of these people are just doing a job of which they have no interest in at all and know nothing about cars thats why i always ask on here if i need any help, or just ask me dad.

    They are all 1.4 8v engines in the quicksilver, just like the furio.

    A mate of mine, was told that there was a 1.5 quicksilver by a dealer. Now trying to tell him that there is no such thing, is very tricky.
