when people spray them do you do the inside rim aswell or just the part you can see?

AND ive got some nasty curbage on one of the alloys...... what kind of filler would i use for that? Fibre Glass? p40? (i think its called?)

You can spray the inside of the rim if you want its up to you but you need to remove all dirt and prime and make sure its clean then spray

And for the kirbage ordinary body filler will do the job hope.

Id spray inside the rims mate,it would look alot better
  4. #4
you reckon if i spray the inside though it will take more than 1 can of spray per alloy?
  5. #5
When I do mine I spray the whole alloy. No point doing a job half arsed

i never bothered with the inside of mine, but then i went black, and the alloys i picked up to do where black on the inside anyway

    what alloys are you doing?

normal body filler should be fine, got a pic of the kerbage? as ive said before i went over them very lightly with the angle grinder and it got rid of all the kerb marks

you will need either a bread breaker and 2 tyre leaver or a tyre changing machine no way you can do it with damaging tyres other wise

go down to local hi q or somethin ask if they will take them off, that wil be easier and you wont damage the tyres, say to them you will go back there and get them balanced

or if u have a mate who works at a garage im sure he would take them off

Nope it wont mate no at all when filled with air the make a seal with the rim which is pretty hard to break you wont manage it with a crow bar easiest to nip to you local tyre centre as will cost more if you fuck a tyre.

I used halfords wheel spray, they sell it especially for wheels. I did my old vts wheels in it and they came out like this.....

    After

I sprayed the Turbo wheels on my XR3i (RSturbo looka-likey) white, It was much easier having the tyres off the wheels.

Make sure you give the wheels a good going over with progressive wet and dry so the paint really has good base to stick to.

I was well happy with the result of mine, just take your time and make a good job of it and they will come out a ok
