Right i currently have a 1.1 as you all know but i have 16" alloys which rubs with 5 people in the car on the outer arch but... When i fit my vt* kit could i grind away the orginal archin replace of the new one as it is wider???

you have to cut a fair wack of the arch away anyway when fitting the vt kit as the flat arches sit lower iirc

Yep you do have to cut away some of the rear quarter panel by the arch, if you take off the bump strip on the rear and place the VT arch onto it (the clips in the VT arch panel before the arch curve itself should fit directly into the bump strip holes in the rear quarter panel) its easy to see how much you need to cut off.

The bit thats cut off aswel if the bit that might have caused any rubbing with the wheels so there wont be any rubbing problems here

Heres a little diagram showing approximately how much you'll need to cut off from the original arch bondie.

Red line is the bottom of the VT arch when its on the car and the shaded bit in blue is the size of metal roughly that you'll need to cut off

so you don't need to drill holes to fit the rear arches mate...?? I thought you did or is it just the fronts?

If that's the case then that's really good news

excellant mate, but for a tral fit I can get the rear arches and bumper fitted without drilling anything tht's really good news, Only thing I'm worried about is the front arches

Front ones are ok, drill or tigerseal its upto you

You'll still need to cut up the wing a little so that it doesnt stick out under the VT arch.

Also if drilling id suggest using small bolts instead of the clips on the front to hold it closer to the wing, bolt head slides in the clip slot, place bolt through the drilled hole and tighten up nut on inner side of arch until its fully flush

Theres also that bracket on the bottom of the front arch which bolts/attaches underneath the car- I cant remember exactly where it fitted, next time i jack my car up ill take a pic of it for you
