#2its personal opinion really when it comes to exhausts mate, and imo custom is the way forward, but some will disagree, as like i said its a matter of opinion tbh!
-
#3from the sounds of it you know what you want.
Go custom and they can get it spot on for you -
#4theres a powerflow near me, but not sure whether they are any good, tbh though im only after a backbox so doesnt have to be perfect, just want it to fit well and sound nice realy, is it true they can tune the exhaust to sound how you want it?
-
#5Exhausts unlike most other engine tuning items is more a choice of persoanl tastes really.
Simepeople would rather have a nicer looking tailpipe than a better performing item, others would rather have a noisey exhaust where as others just want abit more than standard.
Check out places like www.performancecentre.co.uk for a good selection of most brands to get an idea of whats out there for your car and prices.
Any of the leading direct fitment exhausts like Magnex/Janspeed/Piper/Scorpion could all be made to fit the Furio and shouldnt be that loud compaired to say a Peco or Sportex item.
Check out www.cituning.ltd.uk as there do some nice inhouse exhausts.
Custom is always another option, there is somebad blood on here when it comes to Powerflow exhausts wheather its justified or not I can say as Ive never used them, but I will say this . . .
If your looking to have a universal say Jap style can fitted then sourch it yourself from somewhere like eBay or www.essexracing.com then get someone to fit it along with new brackets and hangers where needed.
Hope that helps

#6If just a back box your after then definitely go for a piper 4" slash cut.
-
#7I think the Piper especially the 4'slash cut is fast becoming the most popular tailpipe choice after the Magnex backbox and for good reason.
Good looking, Good sounding and well priced.
Top stuff

#8o god i see someones wanted to go to POOOOerflow....
please dont go and get ripped off. -
#9Powerflow can look good and sound good, but you WILL get sick of going back to the fitters to get blowing problems sorting out.
Most of the powerflow fitters are kids (Doncaster) and they don't really give a toss about quality of fitment, I and several friends are constantly going back to get holes welded over and clamps moving to stop the exhaust rattling.
My mate takes his to Leeds powerflow now and they seem a bit more adept.
Might try Tony Law in Leeds next time. -
#10Ive got longlife mate and it sounds lvly, but its a personal choice
-
#11the best sounding exhaust ive heard was by H engineering.. cost 1400. runs a repackable silence and is on a car with a set of proper Pugsport throttle bodies..
its all preference and budget. -
#12yeah im pretty tempted by a piper 3.5" inward rolled or 4" slash cut! wheres the best place to buy these from for a good cheap price, i went halfords for my last backbox i bought lol
-
#13There are better custom exhaust fitters about than powerflow so why not ask in the regional section that you would come under and see if there is anywhere that can be recommended, rather than using Powerflow.
I think its fair to say most people would think Powerflow are as bad as Kwik-Fit -

#15I loved the sound of my Magnex with it's silencer box removed when I had my manifold and decat too. Without the decat and manifold its nowhere near as good and has stopped popping and banging
I do like the sound a Piper 4"er too!
-
#17I've got a Piper backbox. Love the look and sound of it. Its all down to personal taste though.
-
#18I would also have to recommend the piper 4" slashcut.. it sounds lovely.. and looks lovely... my local garage ordered mine in for me at a discounted price from demon-tweeks which was good

This is just a driveby taster video... im really happy with the sound of it... They sound reasonably quiet when idling, but sound very nice and sporty, a deep bass tone when accelerating... if you give it welly it sounds great... but if you change up fairly early you don't hear it too much... therefore it doesn't drone on motorways...

Now it has bedded in more it is a bit louder... it sounds lovely
And looks rather sexy..

#20piper 4 slash looks to JC for my liking.

#21I thought my new setup would produce some pops and farts but alass not.
4-1 manifold/Sports cat/Straight tho centre/custom back box 2' tailpipe
Reckon it might if I decated it but dont think I could be bothered sorting it out for MoT time -
#22if you want flames you want to see my mate ians car lol....
