Help Required!

   Alright I recently brought some neons (cold cathodes) and they are exactly the same as the ones in the pictures I think. Well I went to fit them today and could not get them going???? I wrapped the the black wire around the yellow wire and then the yellow wire around the silver wire(because I could not see an orange wire only yellow, silver and brown) Have I done this wrong?? Help appreciated for a dummie with cars.

   were are you trying to wire them into mate
