VTS doorcards, HELP!!!

   HI,
   i am re-trimming my door cards in alcantara. I drilled the material bits off the doorcard & have re-trimmed one of them, i am having a problem putting the material bit back on the plastic bit.
   
   I tried using fibreglass but no luck, What is the best thing to use & how?

   use some plastic ie tie wraps to melt back onto the doorcard with a soldering iron mate, thats the way i did it takes a while but does the job
   
   use a few clamps and start melting

   i used to make them for nissan and whenever a machine went down we had to make them by hand by either using a sonic welder or soldering iron
