whats the best backbox for a saxo if your wanting a nice deep tone and quite deep and loud when you open it up in the revs, dont want raspy, i was thinking peco is best as it was nice and deep on my corsa i had!

#2i have a twin upsweep back box sound quite when ticking over but when get above 3000 rpm sound kicks in its well nice
-
#3peco.........odear

#4you seem to disagree with everything you do mate, just like a lad off corsasport, always seems to be one on every forum!
-
#5Peco got a bad name but sure they are dealing under another name on ebay what is cybox and i can vouch for how good these exhausts are and how good they sound
-
#6If your just looking for a low budget Back Box to make a bit of noise and and look good - Then there is nothing wrong with a Peco back box in either Mild Steel or Stainless Steel.
Dont expect any kind of performance gains from a back box, but if you except that its just for show and sound you cant go wrong - check out www.performancecentre.co.uk for good prices on Peco items and other exhausts, Sportex is another low budget exhaust with a selection of tailpipes on offer have a look at www.tuning.co.uk
Expect to pay around the £100 mark for a direct fit back box, but it will depend on tailpipe design, most people generally go for around the 3'-3.5' mark but 4' Slash cut tailpipes can look quite nice.
Hope that helps

nope just disagree with fitting shite to cars.
if you want cheap and decent stuff go for piper/scorpion/magnex..
And i would expect there to be knobs on corsa sport, i mean they drive corsas so
lol
read all the advice i have given on this forum over the last few months and you will see i dont just disagree, so think about that before commenting on me being 'like one on every forum' -
#9Agree with you mate, but this chap just wants a sound, not a decent system. Peco will probably be fine and eas to get hold of. Personally I'd rather eat my own shit than fit one to a car I owned but each to their ownQuote:nope just disagree with fitting shite to cars.

#12Its' a Furi, there isn't much hope for it to be fair mate
-
#17nope never had one never will..Quote:
Power to the People lol
I bet you had a Peco at one point, didnt ya
Its just your too cool to admit it now
only exhaust i had which wasnt my style was my sebring...
BTB or standard for me atm
power to the people can cock off lol! i just dont beat about the bush -
#19I had a Peco backbox on my last VTR and everything was ok, you say Peco are under the name cybox now on ebay? Fuuny enough I have just bought one and had nothing but problems with the backbox flange, but there customer survice is pretty good so they are sorting it out, and after moaning at them about the backbox they sold me Stainless center section and de-cat pipe for £50, on ebay it totals up to about £120.Quote:Peco got a bad name but sure they are dealing under another name on ebay what is cybox and i can vouch for how good these exhausts are and how good they sound
But other than that cybox exhausts give a nice sound and look ok on a saxo. -
#20i have a peco on my clio and tbh its too loud. gets right on ya tits on the motorway. got a 4" sportex cat back on my saxo and for the money you can't grumble. gives a deep sound but not ott like the peco. if its just sound and looks your after go for a sportex over a peco i'd say!

if you have never had one how can you say they are rubbish, haha! the one i had on my CORSA was fine, sounded good and was a perfect fit and looked good! still in good condition now and its been on for 2 years! im not after performance gains here realy just want it to sound good and look good and be a good fitment, obviously dont want any performance losses though either lol its just there are so many brands to choose from out there and theres no better place to find out what they are like than on here from the people that have used them! i realy want to good quality views and opinions here cheers! -
#22erm funily enough because ive been in/heard cars with them on...Quote:if you have never had one how can you say they are rubbish, haha! the one i had on my CORSA was fine, sounded good and was a perfect fit and looked good! still in good condition now and its been on for 2 years! im not after performance gains here realy just want it to sound good and look good and be a good fitment, obviously dont want any performance losses though either lol its just there are so many brands to choose from out there and theres no better place to find out what they are like than on here from the people that have used them! i realy want to good quality views and opinions here cheers!
can still make a comment just because i dont fit chavvy shit to my car!
but still your opinions on what are nice are going to be warped, not only did you think a corsa was cool, but a peco on it was aswell lol -
#23al tell ya what mate my corsa was far more reliable than my saxo i have now, the interior was nicer on the corsa too! anyway this is a saxo forum so im not goin talk about corsas anymore, all im saying mate is that peco aren't all that bad!

#24For what they offer ie Looks and Sounds for a wide range of applications if all you want is a nice looking tailpipe and a non standard exhaust note then Peco and Sportex serve their purpose.
For a small cc engined car it would be a waste of money forking out for a bigger branded/performance item imo -
#25most performance exhausts are not really performance though. sports exhausts.Quote:For what they offer ie Looks and Sounds for a wide range of applications if all you want is a nice looking tailpipe and a non standard exhaust note then Peco and Sportex serve their purpose.

just think that there are alot better cheap exhausts than peco about..
they dont look nice or sound nice.. and thats not just my opinion its the opinion of the vast majority of people i have ever met and spoken about cars with. -
#26I would get another cybox and the fit was excellent for me i just wiggled under the car and stuck it on didnt even have a jack thats how easy it was and as for performance its a straight through design exhaust system and they can add a extra silencer box to it aswell so with this it will keep up back pressure and also they can be quite loud but never had one with the silencer in so cant comment for that one they do. But all round i got good gains from my mods and was extremely pleased with design and build quality maybe give these a try as its only £230 for the system with the extra silencer and they throw in a free decat aswell
-
#27I say 'Performance' just as I meant the Leading Brands of 'Sports exhausts ie Magnex/Janspeed/Piper/Scorpion and so on.
I heard a few people say that Cybox is just rebranded Peco items? How true not sure
-
#28Ive got a peco on mine and had no problems except it was fitted wrong but not pecos fault.lol can be loud on the motorway but its alrite. It does have a bad rep with saxo owners because all chavs in corsas seem to have them.lol
-
#29piper i say mate i got a piper on mine

-
#30I think you've hit the nail on the head there mate - I ALWAYS try and get that point over, that most (not all but most) fitting problems with aftermarket exhausts are doen to them being badly fitted either by people at home or by poor fitters.Quote:Ive got a peco on mine and had no problems except it was fitted wrong but not pecos fault.lol can be loud on the motorway but its alrite. If you except that its just there for show and sound - Peco's are not bad at all.
Any I couldnt agree with you more about the last bit about 'Chavs+Corsas' its just a bad image they have picked up
Have some rep for sticking up for Peco and all people on a budget
