Tyres for Series1 Rallye Rims

   Ok so I had the tyres taken off my Rallye Rims last night ready in preperation for me refurbing them, now the tyres on the wheels where 175/60/14 so when the bloke in the tyre shop was removing them he was sayin . . .
   
   'These the wrong tyres on he mate, you want 185/50/14'
   
   I explained these where series1 steelies and that they where 5.5' not 6' so the 175/60/14 was correct but he would have it.
   
   Im rite arent I? Series1 5.5' steelies will need 175/60/14
   
   Surely the wider 185/55/14 (he even got the profile wrong) is only for the Series2 6' steelie and would be far too wide for the Series1.
   
   Can somebody shead some expert tyre know how on the subject as Im hoping to buy tyres next weekend

   Found this if it helps:
   
   The RALLYE has Michelin Sport steel wheels painted white as standard. These 5.5 x 14" wheels are very lightweight to aid handling and performance. Standard tyres fitted to the RALLYE are Pirelli P4000 175/60. The 4-stud wheels have black Peugeot centre caps with a silver outlined Peugeot lion emblem in the centre.
   
   Hope this solves the problem...
   
   Any luck with the Citroen center caps?

   Yer right result.
   
   Ordered a set of Berlingo centre caps which are larger and cover the whole centre of the Rallye rim. They look like the ones on theis Perfect saxo
   
   
   
   The bloke in the parts counter was a complete muppet, as I said look I know my chassis number lists my VTS with White Steel wheels and these are the correct size and pattern have you got a centre cap to fit.
   
   He was like - We dont carry them. I said what not at all he then dissapeared for about 15m's then another bloke came along and asked if I needed any help, I explained and he walked off, 30secs later he came back and said 'Your be wanting some of these mate, Berlingo centre caps'
   
   I was half way through paying on my card when the first returned empty handed : Class A+ muppet
   
   £18 set of four, which aint to bad really

   Saw a set on a van on way to work this morning, and wondered if you'd sorted it.
   
   Will have to find a set or 6 at some point.

   Ive got a find a matching spare wheel, I'll have to get one from Peugeot main dealer
   
   Didnt realise you carried two spares, I take it thats why you need 6
