Struggling too choose some aftermarket rear lights for my green vtr. I like the look of the smoked ultra jewels and ive seen a couple on ebay, just after comments/ideas http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Saxo-lexus-style-black-magic-lights_W0QQitemZ160106991882QQihZ006QQcategoryZ722 43QQrdZ1Qhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CITREON-SAXO-V...QQcmdZViewItemQcmdZViewItem

lexus lights pah dont do it!!!

if you want smoked do them yourself i did and they look good legal too passed the mot as you can still see the reflector and every part of the inner light is visible if you get me just dont forget the lacquer them or they'll crack after about 6 months!

can from motor world £10 ask at the counter for 'tail light tinting spray' do different colours too!!

The ones in the first link are illegal because they don't have a reflector.

The ones in the second link are "ok" but somebody else has sprayed/tinted them so it might be easier/cheaper for you to do it yourself and plus... they're being bidded on so god knows how much they'll end up going for.

You have a Mk1... the standard lights are better than the ones you've posted links to. If you're after something different from standard, then have a look at some smoked (lexus) lights. They're called lexus on Ebay but they're not in reality. GBK Performance (or something) sell them for less than £60 including delivery.

Most people have either Standard Phase1 or Phase2 rears or in the aftermarket department its pretty much only the Ultra Smoked/Black Jewls - depending on the colour of your car you can get Blue or Green Ultra's which can look ok and the correctly styled car with the right mods.

alot of people take a instant dislike to lexus lights as they pretty much had there day.

No matter what you get make sure you keep you standard ones handy if you ever fancy a change back to a more OE look

I like the mk1 standard rears myself, slighltly smoked but not ott.
Just put a set on mine yesterday, looks much better than aftermarket one's imo.

If you're going down the smoked route, i'd keep the mk1 rears or buy some ultra smoked jewels.
If you are going to colour code, then white wheels and mk2 rear lights would look immense.

It all depends on what future body mods you have planned.
