just had some interesting news...

   ... as some of you may well know i work for a Skoda Dealer. Now one of the saesman came in the canteen earlier chatting to me about the new Skoda Fabia VRS, now skoda have released minimal details so far about this car, but what we do now is its a 1.4 petrol engine which is BOTH turbo and supercharged and is set to produce 200bhp
   
   Im really looking forward o getting these in, who knows might even take one for a test drive I can see it being a very expensive and unreliable car, but we'll have to wait and see!
   
   the point of this post is to ask if anyone has heard about this and if anyone can find any more spec on it.
   
   IF YOU ARE SEARCHING THE NET FOR SPEC, DON'T GET IT CONFUSED WITH THE CURRENT FABIA VRS WHICH IS A 1.9 TDI

   yay no derv vrs! As long as they tweak the design a little and make it a little more agressive
   
   Also un realiable? VAG! Same enigne as in the Golf mk5 GT possibly?

   as above, engine is already in the vw polo GT
   and i thought they were 170bhp (at least in the VW)

   i was definately told 200horses, could have been false info, or they may have tweaked it! who knows, we'll have to wait and see! when they come out i'll get a shot of the engine bay and you can tell me if its the same!

   Skodas are really pulling their socks up these days and making some stonking Coal powered hot hatches
   
   Alpina done an 7series with a Bi turbo/supercharger set I think a few years back.

   its also in the golf gt, remapped like most VAG turbo engines would probably push it on a good bit

   Disappointing.
   
   The current VRs is a brilliant car, it's engine is matched perfectly to the chassis to create a smaller version of the fbulous Golf GT TDI.
   
   The 1.4 Supercharged Turbo is indeed the engine from the Golf GT, which is just a slightly torque free of making a fairly unimpressive 200bhp lump.

    who cares about bhp in a derv especially the fabia VRS, its tourque that makes the car feel fast power is just for top end. The VRS has bucket loads of tourque they are mega fun to drive.
