Polishing Mk 2 manifold cover?

  1. #1
Can it be done? My manifold cover is looking like its had better days, I want to polish it up. I can get different grades of paper for free so i'm thinking DIY instead of paying the 40-50quid on ebay for one.
I just need to know what material its made from? and if its just coated? So I don't end up wasting my time

If its the exhaust manifold just get a new one from citroen only £4, I did.
but you may mean the inlet manifold or even the cam cover? then the cam cover is £29.

    Manifold cover i did myself.

I just used a stainless steel scouer (sp) to clean it, and used some Stainless Steel cleaner which I had found in the kitchen, gave it a bit of elbow grease for 30mins or so then dried up and went over with some wd40.
