Right I am looking to upgrade my brakes but might be sticking with my 14 vtr rims or buying some other 14'' alloys. What are the best brakes I can fit behind them and can I get black diamond disks on aswell. Quite like the look of black disks!

#18So what do you need to convert from standard S brake setup to 206GTi setup?
Can I just sourch second had calipers off a 206GTi and then get new uprated 206GTi Disc's + Pads? -
#19thats all. straight swap.
-
#20Straight swap! Result
And your pretty sure they would fit under 14' steelies?
One more question, would you reckomend trying to sourch new calipers from say eurocarparts rather than second hand uints (budget allowing) -
#21I've got some 206 xsi calipers that could then be fitted with 266mm disks. If you want you can have them for the price of a few beers. Just sitting around as paper weights at the moment.
Not as shiney as my B16 jenvey inlet manifold paperweight so I want rid.
Was going to use them on a track car under 14s but I'm now going to fit an AP racing setup instead. -
#22i KNOW they will fit under 14s

i personelly wouldnt bother paying extra for new calipers. -

Helpful advice, it is all taken onborad and I shall use it when I have more money - above mentioned reasonsQuote:i KNOW they will fit under 14s

Thats such a good point, people forget about the tyres being almost as important as the brakes themselves. If your front tyres are abit low on tread replace em asap, no point in good anchors stopping the wheel if all its going to do is lock up and skid cos its got no tread
Did you have to fit 206 Goodridge items Westy as I have already got Goodridge hoses on my S at present will they link upto 206GTi Calipers ok? -
#32Quick question sorry to jump on your thread will 285 mm brakes and 4-pots fit under 14s? or will i need 15s?
