MK2 Conversion

hey all! was just wondering if all i needed to do the conversion was a bonnet. .front lights. .slam panel and 2 front wings? was thinkin of doing it because i can get the parts fairly cheap and i need a full respray too so was thinkin of doing a mk2 conversion to freshen it up a bit! cheers!

probablies work out cheaper to sell your car and buy a mk2 mate

but yes bonnet, lights, wings and slam panel is what you will need maybe some different wiring/plugs for the lights but am not entirely sure

well i would sell it but wont really get anythin for it. .it started out as a 1.0. .got a vtr engine cheap so have converted it to a vtr and have put a vtr kit on and now it needs a full respray! just thought this would freshen it up as i wont get much for it as it is! just got 12months MOT on it too!

reckon it will be easy enough to swap over? does the slam panel just bolt in or is it welded anywhere? never removed one before! i no the rest is easy just the slam?

Slam pannel bolts on with 10mm bolts. Piece of piss to remove when the light and all the other ancillaries have been moved as well

Sounds good mate, like Danny said I'd also like to do mine as a MK1.

I remember watching your VTR conversion, so if you do this I look forward to seeing the progress.

yeah the conversion got held back a bit by me getting banned you see thats why i havent updated for a while. .need a full respray now cuz everythin else is pretty much there! but before the respray i thought id consider this just to freshen it up and itll be a different look for the car! cheers for comments everyone! appreciated
