Reckon there will be any vtr roof tip spoilers lying around in any scrappys? Got one near me but never been tbh. Will it be ok if i sand it, prime it, spray it with matching paint (spray can from halfords), then laquer it. Will it get a good finish if i take time and do it well as in shiny etc.
Couldnt find this when i searched so....

#2yes mate should be able to get a spoiler from a breakers/scrappy, as for painting you would get a much better finish with a compressed sprayer than a can, but it should be ok with a spray can as its a small part tbh, on the final paint wet sand it with plenty of water them wipre it all off and spray the laquer and buff it up with a polisher if you have one if not dont bother flattening the paint prior to laquer

#3okies thats cool. I aint got a buffer so i wouldnt need to sand it before laquer is that right? and how much would you say a spoiler is there and how would i get it off?
-
#4Should you really sand down before laqcure because even buffing it with a machine polisher after wont touch the sandin marks becaue they will be under the lacqure.
When im spraying i went n dry before last coat of primer and before last coat of paint. That maybe wrong but i have found it works for me.

#7yeah supposed to give a matt finish to the final coat then laquer it
wtf am i on about today, these beechems are making me crazy
may sound crazy wet sandind it but its the way pros do it prior to laquering dont worry it will come up shiny

#8lol ok. what grade of wet n dry shall i use. In B&Q they just sell wet n dry at a standard grade. Is that the one. Went to one scrappy this mornin and they only had 1 saxo in the whole place. Gutted or what
