#2Depends on what bit of the grill you mean the grill opening it's self is built into the bonnet of a mk2 unlike the mk1. However the insert part of the grill should fit into the mk1 grill opening but theirs no point as their the same.

#7And the shape of the mk2 grill is pretty different too, its got alittle bump at the top, and its smaller than the MK1. Would need to do a lot of custom fibreglassing but i dont think anyones done it before

#9mk2 grills wont go onto a mk1 at all mate, if you want to do this your going to have to do a front end conversion
so you would need
mk2 bonnet and grill
mk2 headlights
mk2 front slam panel and mk2 front wings
plus any wiring etc
the other way like fibreglassing would take a lot of custom work and tbh would not look right at all, would ruin the lines of the imo -
#10Hmmm, was just looking for a direct fit that would change the appearance of the front end. Anyone got any ideas/opions??Quote:mk2 grills wont go onto a mk1 at all mate, if you want to do this your going to have to do a front end conversion
