   is a vtr with the new shape headlights the mk2, and therefor 98 bhp as standard?
   
   im confused, im about to buy a yr 2000 vtr. the one with new shape headlights. will this be 98 bhp???
   
   plz help, im worried

   the mk 2 is the 1 with the tear shape headlights

   so as long as it has got tear shaped lights it will be 98 bhp?????
   what is the difference between 2000 and 2001 mk2 vtr's because when chosing an exhaust system they are listed differently??
   
   any idea?

   i think the mk 2 models have a bigger bhp to the mk 1 because they weigh more but the mk 1 and 2 both have almost ideantical acceleration/top speed times

   dont know if the mk2 is heavier but the 98bhp models can be identified by the cat within the manifold, not all mk2's are 98bhp, but to be honest your not going to notice the extra 8bhp much as has been shown in various tests both returning similar results so if it isnt 98bhp then i wouldnt let it put you off buying it.

   mk2 have the cat under the bonnet and not underneath the car, there is also different rocker covers ie. black and grey

   black rocker covers were pre 98, all vtr's after had the silver rocker
