-
#5

-
#6Piper 4" slashcut...

Alex
-
#7magnex are great exhausts not too loud and not too quiet and really good fitment, ill get a video tomorrow if i can of it
-
#8Yea that would be a big help if you could get a vid.I do like the look of the them just not to sure what they sound like.cheers mate
-
#9i do have vids of the back box and when it wasnt properly sealed up but ill get a better one tomorrow as i need to go out and drop the install down a bit so ill do it whilst doing that
-
#10its got 2 b a 3.5" rolled in exhaust on a saxo, looks the best imo!!!
-

#13at last baz aint drunk
-
#14baz im in love with your rear end!
-
#15thanks :d some how you can't see how bad the boot actually is on that picture, its flaked on the boot lid handle and under the reg and looks really dull as he hasn't buffered it up properly
hehe gotta stay sober once every now and again
-
#18
Cheers for all the pics guys i think i will be ordering a magnex system and a de-cat pipe this week as it is pay day today.Where is the cheapest place to buy them from?
-
#19How about something alittle different in a world of Magnex's - Group N style-lieeeeee

Should be lighter than a Magnex I reckon too
Try www.performancecentre.co.uk or www.motorsportworld.co.uk for a normal cat back Magnex system or get in contact with ABP as they sell a Magnex system with a straight throug centre section for that little extra exhaust note and performance try www.abpmotorsport.co.uk or email direct to dave@abpmotorsport.co.uk make sure to mention your a saxp member as I think there is a discount in it for ya
-
#20Baz what is your exhaust?
-
#21
Its a Magnex, just like these . . .

Im very anti Magnex just because of the way the sit and hang below the rear bumper. Got no problems with performance wise but looks are important to you the Janspeed/Piper/Scoripon back boxes all which list a 3' or 3.5' will sit much better than the Magnex.
Just IMO
-
#22Magnex = Copying everyone. Im with you VTS_16v_boy lol.
Ive got an OMP 2 " Group N -
#23Go for a magnex by all means, they are great exhausts... just make sure you get it fitted properly and they trim down the centre section so it doesn't stick out.... predator's is a perfect example of how a magnex should be fitted

Failing that, go piper
It shouldn't be an issue of 'copying everyone' - the reason why so many people have magnex's is they are good exhausts... no one goes and buys peco just to be different
Alex

#24Top Stuff - Im not one to follow the crowdQuote:Magnex = Copying everyone. Im with you VTS_16v_boy lol.

Nice to see Im not on my own
If Magnex back boxe sat well and didnt need triming to do so plus if the siliencer was hiden and didnt hang down then I would probally have had one for my S but seeing as they look horrid I can only asume people buy on Name value only and thats fine but why do they look so pony?Quote:Go for a magnex by all means, they are great exhausts... just make sure you get it fitted properly and they trim down the centre section so it doesn't stick out.... predator's is a perfect example of how a magnex should be fitted

#25I'm with VTS 16v boy..
Proper rally style.. Group A/N

Mines 2.5" rolled out to 3". Custom made to similar setup/spec as group A/N exhausts..
-
#26hehehehehe - We at least thats Two people that are loving it small and harcore . . . Oh Err Missis

Bring out the Pee Shooters FTW

lol -
#27LOL, looke gay with huuugggeee exhausts imo!!
-
#28magnex arent as bad looking as you make out mate, you dont exactly an on looking at the box exactly, and trimming the centre pipe is part of the fun ftting it, omp look way too small and look lost imo
-
#29ive gone 3.5 piper inwards, will post pics when I get it fitted.
-
#30

BTB -
#31I do admit that in general that 3' inwardly rolled is the best all round looking style for a sutble styled saxo regardless of brand.
Although I am liking the Scropion Dual exit setup, looks good with out being OTT -
#32I do like the look of the magnex 3.5" inwardly rolled.Im not a fan of any little 2" or 2.5" tail pipes like some of you on here but i suppose its each to there own.I dont want to copy everyone else but the magnex are rated very good on the perfomance side.so i think i will be ordering mine tomorrow with the staight through pipe and a de-cat pipe + i might order a raceland manifold.Do any of you know if the raceland manifolds are any good a mate of mine said there are good espcially at they cheap price.
-
#33Yeah i have a 4-2-1 and they are built well and give good gains..
just a bastard to fit
-
#34I think you should go for an exhaust like Matt's, the oval is sexy.
Piper exhausts sound not to bad aswell, Magnex are alright but they sit to low for my liking. -
#35these are all small where are the BIG LOUD EXHAUSTS???
-
#36big loud exhaust usually mean too much reduced back pressure therefore a loss in performance.. i think..
Why would you want an exhaust that makes a saxo sound like a ferrari coming when it really doesn't go like one..
race cars are loud, not because the exhausts are made to be loud, its because the engines have alot of work done to them so that makes them loud as feck.
If you bolted my exhaust to a 200bhp VTS like a saxo kit car for example it would be loud as fuk, whereas mine isn't that loud with my engine..
sorry to go off on a pointless tangent, lol.
-
#40
-
#41lol, so innapropriate on saxo exhausts like that imo, i had a twin 4" ashley on mine when i got it.
I got rid asap.
turned it from a trendy saxo into a track slag
-
#42What do these little 2" exhaust pipes actually sound like? Has anyone got any vids?
-
#44have no vids but they sound like any other exhaust.. its not the size of the tailpipe that determines how loud a car is, its the restrictiveness of the boxes in the exhaust system..
thats why a straight through exhaust is loud as fuck and one like mine with quite a big back box isn't too loud..Needed to keep noise down for track you see. -
#46OMP group N are the balls......!!!!!!!!! i will be going with one as my next. the one i currently have was a cheap option for me

cant wait til i got the spare reddies for one
-
#47i think the omp ones look out of place tbh, dont get me wrong they sound nice but in the cutout they look lost
-
#48go on powerflow.co.uk they will suit your every need for a exhaust and are top quality
-
#49powerflow are pants
-
#50What do people have against powerflow exhausts? I dont have one, so just interested really. I have two mates who have powerflow exhausts and they are well happy with them, they look and sound how they wanted them too, so whats the problem?
-
#51thread is a bit of a blast from the past like

powerflow are crap as there built on the spot, where as magnex, piper etc are built in bulk and are flow tested, much better for performance, powerflow are only good for sound and looks -
#52sound and looks, isnt that why most people get a modified exhaust? Lets be honest event the best exhaust system, magnex for example, will only give minimal performance gains, or am i wrong? Dont want to start an argument, just wondering.
-
#53magnex system and manifold will give a good 4 - 5 bhp depending on the car model obviously, and depending which model, using a manifold de cats the car or using a straight through pipe on other models also de cats the car
its what i got my magnex for, peformance plus with it being stainless steel it would save me money in the long run -
#54fair enough
-
#55also long journeys and a loud exhaust really dont mix well together
-
#56just for the record powerflow are good i have one but looking back i would of prefered to spend those extra reddies on a magnex sytem etc becasue there is no power gain on a powerflow in my expierience anyway
-
#57i didnt follow the norm.. dont think they look too bad though. car wouldnt look right with just single exit...
-
#58

May help to add pic!! -
#59I want a magnex when i get my next saxo. they look really smart IMO. Mines just a too big, inward rolled oval cutom jobbie. Power loss ftw! I like Preds
