#2looks a good price. That type of kit puts the filter right at the back of the engine which means it will suck in hot air when car is slow moving or at a standstill, and when on the move air will be heated as it passes through the radiator and over the exhaust manifold and engine.
But saying that.....you have a 1.1 so i'm guessing you just want the noise
that close to the driver it should sound rather nice!

#3I agree, spending more than around £50-£60 on any kind of induction system is a waste of money. It will increase induction noise hopefully giving the car a good deep induction roar under harder accelaration and make the engine feel slightly more free reving due to the increase surface area of the filter.
Make sure you get somekind of tubing to run cold air from the front of the car to the air filter.
Dont expect a K&N to turn the car into a VTS but it will increase your enjoyment out of the car
go for it

#4all depends what you want it for mate sounds or performance??
-
#5Sound only - go for K&N
Performance - Get a BMC CDA enclosed. -
#6just buy a universal one from halfords or ebay, no point in a K&N because it sounds the same as other open kits. waste of money!
£20 filter would do the same job.
