Ive suspected a problem with my watert temp sensoir for months and months.

    What were your symptoms?

Mine tends to run like shit as the thermostat opens to let the water in from the radiator?

my GF AX had the same problem (bad starts, and cutting out)

so replaced al sensors (water, and cold start)and it was a little better.

yesterday found out that the real prob. was her battery

it was missing, back firing reving itself but not all the time when it was cold it ran fine and when it did play up reeking black smoke and stinks o petrol, what happens is when car heats up it thinks it is still cold so its letting through more petrol and so flooding itself even if it isnt that its worth just trying for £5 u cant go wrong all u need to change it is a 19mm spanner, its at the side of the head on my car but theres 2 ones blue n ones green mines was the blue theres a small clip u need to slide off b4 u can get the wires of the connector, anyway hope that helps, im female so that shows u how easy it was 2 do lol

after you fixed to problem did you notice any diffrence in your car, i mean did it seem slower?

because what some people do is, put some kind of tempreture sensor which tell the ecu that the car is cold which sends in more fules, to make the car faster.

no not any difference at all,ive seen the things on ebay that ur talking about dont understand it like,i have been tempted too try them though but i wouldnt now,it couldnt be good for the car thinking its cold all the time,u car suffers more wear n tear when its cold.
