Keeping Cool?

    Noticed my car rev's lovely when its nice and cool and on night time, but during the day in this humid heat we are having it drives like a sak of poo
    Engine temp is just the same, just doesnt seem to rev freely at all, as though its being chocked, been back out just now as its cooled off loads and the car is driving lovely.

    Is there a cheap and easy way of getting cold air in?
    Got standard induction, gmc 4-1 manifold. only performance mods

    Or isnt it cold air i need? advice needed

    dont really want to spend loads getting bmc, or enclosed. btw!

    has the vtr got loads of pipe work from the airbox? if so take it all off an replace with an air feed. i'll show you how i have done mine some time.

    thats the old girls air intake, might take that tubing off and replace it with some new to lower down the bumper???

    Rite you see the bit after the flexable bit that goes to the slam panel?

    Got it, rite - Bin that and get some flexable tubing closer to the front of the car maybe behind the lower grill in the bumper to allow for more direct access to cold air.

    Thats got to be the cheapest way to improve air flow into the OE airbox in my eyes.

    Also if you havent already treat yourself to a K&N or Green panel filter or if you have already go one give it and the inside of the airbox and throttle body a dam good clean and polish

    www.performancecentre.co.uk and www.motorsportworld.co.uk should be uber cheap on them to items reckon about £30ish

    Try all that and then see how the car drives, if it improves the day time driving imagin the improvement at night and in the cold!

    thats what i had in mind was going to get a bmc panel filter when get money, deffo think the tubing lower down should work
