cam question

   comparing cam prices, on certain cams it says they wont run on standard injection?
   
   so whats needed exactly as im confused!

   Mite just need new injectors or maybe fuel rail. Ring the company u wont to buy the cams from and ask them fot more details is the best bet.

   it means you need the ecu remapped, at least. depending on how wild the cam is.

   just i was looking on the newmans cam website and it said that for the ph3 cams which look good for a good price and was reading another post ppl expect them to be good.
   
   so would be best to be installed with a remap then?
   no point in getting the cam model below if these ones just need remapped, nething else??

   its for vts by the way conversion is on the horizon, engine is sittin waiting on either a lotter win to fit or or me saving for a bit!

   i stay in fife in scotland and have the engine, loom, ecu ( yet to be unlocked ) and gearbox. been advised to get a bigger radiator tho!

   i do them for £150 + travelling costs.
   
   not sure when i'd have time to come up to fife and do it. i done 1 on a lads car up there end of last year.

    yeah it was newmans cams.
    
    just found out im moving out as i stay with my parents and thought i might have to sell the engine if it was going to be dear to fit but i want the dam thing in!
    
    where do you stay is the question cause travelling costs could be anything?

    i normally stay at the persons house. so its just the petrol costs. takes about 12 hours to do.

    not too far from you mate, couple of hours up the a1, lives just north of newcaslte
    
    the injection issue with the cams means a remap bud.
    tbh any set of cams or cam you fit, would need to have a remap to get the full ptential from the cams or cam.
    williams has cams on his vts, very impressive, his work is top notch too
